Albert 'Rocky' DiRocco, 86, of Plymouth Meeting on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at Montgomery Hospital, Norristown, PA. Born November 16, 1924 in Black Horse, PA, he was the son of the late Carmella (Di Nardo) Di Rocco and Pasquale Di Rocco. Mr. DiRocco was a member of Holy Saviour Church of Norristown and the Heavy Equipment Operators Union, Local #345; he enjoyed spending time with grand and great-grandchildren and playing golf. He was also an Army WW II veteran, a TSgt. with the 544th Engineer Boat & Shore Regiment, 4th Engineer Special Brigade, serving in the South Pacific. He is survived by 2 daughters: Carmella "Dolly"(Albert) Fermamento of Collegeville, PA; Linda Thomas of Spring City, PA; 5 grandchildren: Albert " Sonny " Fermamento Jr., TJ McGuigan, Kristi Dolga, Danielle Gatlin, Jill Rathmell; and 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 children: Thomas (1983) and Susan Di Rocco (2009); and sisters: Rose Fragale, Marie "Sue" Di Rocco, and Yolanda Carbo. His memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11 am from Our Lady of Mt. Carrmel Church, Fairfield Road, Plymouth Meeting PA. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday morning from 10 - 10:50 am at the church. Burial of his ashes will follow with militay honors at St. Patrick's Cemetery, DeKalb Pike, E. Norriton, PA.
