Anna Vitale

Anna Vitale, of Norristown, PA, passed away Sunday, September 1st, 2024 at Markley Rehab Center in Norristown.  She was 92. Born March 31, 1932 in Sciacca, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Antonino and Accursia (Puleo) Vitale. 

Anna had a contagious laugh and was happiest when she was with her family and friends.  She was a fierce bingo player and an avid seamstress who enjoyed making knitted booties for those she loved. When she wasn’t sewing or cooking, you could find her tending to her garden. Anna was known for her excellent gardening skill especially growing cucuzza squash and making cookies out of everything she grew. She was a staple of the neighborhood on Sandy Street for over 50 years, known and loved by all her neighbors.  Anna was a dedicated member of Holy Savior Parish, Norristown and faithful daughter to her lord and savior Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her loving niece Sina Cristinzio (Indelicato) and her husband Robert Cristinzio, her nephew Anthony Indelicato and great nephews and nieces; Michael Cristinzio along with his wife Kim Cristinzio, Marisa Stein, Tore Indelicato, AJ Indelicato and his fiancé Lizzie Law. Anna was preceded in death by her beloved great niece, Elizabeth Ann Cristinzio, her sisters; Maria, Rosa, and Josephine, and her brothers Giuseppe, and Charlie.

Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday September 7th, 2024 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Holy Savior Church, 407 East Main Street, Norristown, PA. Mass will follow the viewing at 11:00AM. Entombment will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, Norristown.
