Bernard Burruano

Bernard Burruano, 72, of Downingtown, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday July 19, 2025 in Leonardtown, Maryland.  Born on October 9, 1952 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Samuel J. Burruano, Sr. & Clare K. (Eckert) Burruano.

Bernie was devoted to the Catholic faith as well as the church and dedicated countless hours of work and volunteering in many church groups and organizations. Well-known for the joyful passion which he brought to all his service and work endeavors, Bernie was beloved for his kindness and gentle manner. He was always there to lend a helping hand and to care for those who were in need. He also worked for many years at the St. Jude Catholic Shop.  In his spare time, Bernie enjoyed reading and prayer, but most of all he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family and friends.  He was a loving brother, uncle, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.

Bernie is survived by his dear friend, Janice Nowlan and his siblings, Ann Palladino (Raymond), Anthony Burruano (Patti), Samuel Burruano, Jr. (Bettiann), Dr. Michael Burruano (Jeannene), Maria Hellrigel (Michael), and Eleanor Burruano. He is also survived by Leslie Shearburn, stepsister and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Caramenico Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401. A viewing will also be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 9:30AM-10:30AM at funeral home. Mass will follow the viewing at 11:00AM at the Holy Saviour Church, 407 E.
