Carol Sambrick Obituary

Carol (nee Rieger) Sambrick, 76, left us suddenly and much too soon on January 8, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 25, 1935 she was a daughter of the late Sidney & Bertha (Seiden) Rieger. Carol was the last of four sisters, preceded in death by Florence Rieger, Elaine Rieger Couchara and Dale Rieger Colletti. She was a graduate of the Norristown High School Class of 1953. For the past 12 years she was a valued employee of Betty Lupo & Marie Patterson Attorneys-at-Law, as their legal assistant. Carol lived her entire life in Norristown, married for 54 years to the love of her life, Louis (Som) Sambrick. Carol was incredibly devoted to her family. Nothing meant more to her than spending time with them. Sunday afternoon football spent at home with her husband watching the Eagles and the two of them going to the casinos were two of her favorite things to do. She was extremely supportive in the activities of her grand-children & great-grandchildren and was a constant fixture in the stands at cheer leading competitions or on the sidelines at football & basketball games. In addition to her husband, Lou, Carol leaves behind to cherish their memories, daughters, Nikki (John), Donna and a son, Michael. Grand-daughters, Shana (Kyle) and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Eric, Relayna & Ky'Leah and son-in-law, Brett who will deeply miss their wife, mother and mom-mom & will never forget how she changed their lives. She is now reunited with her beloved daughter, Barbara Sambrick-Scioli who also left our family suddenly and way too soon on November 20, 2011. Carol also leaves behind many nieces & nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 17, 20 at Caramenico FH Inc., Main and Walnut Sts., Ntn., PA. Carol's greatest wish was the continuing education of all her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, and for those desiring, contributions may be made in her memory. Please make donations payable to CFCU and mail to Comtrust Federal Credit Union, "In Memory of Carol Sambrick", 720 Moore Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
