Catherine Ann Dankulich (nee Reilly) died peacefully in her sleep May 4, 2013 at Gwynedd Square Nursing Center. She was 83 years old. Born in West Pittston, PA, Catherine Ann was the only child of Philip J. and Alice Devers Reilly, and was a proud graduate of St. Ann's Academy in Wilkes-Barre. She and husband George W. Dankulich (deceased) moved to Hatfield, PA in 1955, shortly before the birth of their youngest child. While working as a utility operator at Philco Ford in Lansdale, Catherine Ann attended Penn State University where she earned numerous certificates in her field. Despite being paralyzed in 1981 following a stroke and a ruptured aneurysm, Catherine Ann remained an active member of the community, devoting much of her time to her beloved St. Maria Goretti Parish (of which she was also an original member) and attending the Senior Adult Activity Center in Souderton where she took part in countless cribbage and bridge games. Catherine Ann was also an avid reader, foodie and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: MaryBeth, wife of David Williams of Hatfield; George P. Dankulich, husband of Cheryl, of Charlotte Hall, MD; Alison, wife of Michael McMurtrie of Wayne, and Catherine Ann, wife of John Samacicia of Dix Hills, NY. Referred to lovingly as Mom Mom, Catherine Ann is survived by eight grandchildren: DJ (and Sandy) Williams, Sara (and Derek) Raby, Spencer (and Jaime) Scowden, Shannon Scowden, Adam Dankulich, Andrea (and Brian) Mullan, Natalie Samacicia and Alison McMurtrie, and nine great grandchildren: Joseph, Leah and Joshua Williams, Jaxon and Zander Scowden, Landon and Myles Raby, Mason Vincent Scowden and John Brian Mullan. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Catherine Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, and her cherished daughter Georgianna Dankulich Scowden. The countless people whose lives she touched will remember her enthusiasm for life, her sparkling wit, and her infectious sense of humor. Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing which will be held on May 11, 2013, from 9:30-10:15am, at the St. Maria Goretti Church., 1601 Derstine Rd. Hatfield, PA 19440. Mass will follow the viewing at 10:30am. Burial will take place in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery following the Mass.
