Dawn (Steinmetz) Red

Dawn (Steinmetz) Red, 91, of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully on Monday October 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  Born on March 20, 1932 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Howard & Alice Steinmetz, and the loving wife of the late Robert A. Red.

Dawn was a dedicated life member of the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church for many years and was also involved in many church groups and organizations.  Over the years Dawn worked for many local establishments such as The Adam Scheidt Brewing Company, Snyders Jewelers, and The Village Card and Gift Shop until her retirement, and would then go on to dedicate all of her time to taking care of her family and home as she did for many years.  In her spare time she enjoyed traveling with her loving husband to the Jersey Shore as well as their home in Potter County.  But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her loving family.  She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and a dear friend who will be missed by many.

Dawn is survived her four loving children, Keith Red, Douglas (Kathy) Red, Curt (Susan) Red, and Christine (Robert) Stacey; Dawn is also survived her five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Dawn was preceded in death by her two siblings, Larry Steinmetz, and Joyce Kratz.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Dawn on Thursday October 12, 2023 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church, 1921 W. Main St, Norristown PA, 19403.  Her funeral service will follow the calling time at 11:00AM at the church.  Burial will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation, P.O.
