Dolores Monastero

Dolores A. Monastero, 84, of Plymouth Meeting died peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Einstein Montgomery, East Norriton, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank S. Monastero. Born in Norristown, October 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Assunta (Lambertino) and Chester Serrbocco. She is survived by her children, Veronica (Jack) Tepper, Warrington, PA and Frank Monastero, Plymouth Meeting, PA, her sister, Marie Wightman of Norristown, PA, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Dolores was predeceased by a brother, Chester (Jesse) Serrbocco. Mrs. Monastero, a homemaker, previously worked for the Philco-Ford and Bordon Corporations. Beside her family, her greatest joys were family gatherings, her pets, Inkie and Perry and trips to the Jersey Coast. For many years, Dolores was a volunteer in the Montgomery County Foster Grandparent Program. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 9 - 10:45 am, at the Caramenico Funeral Home Inc., Main & Walnut Sts., Norristown, PA. A Funeral Mass to follow at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E Main St., Norristown, PA at 11 a.m.. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, 2400 DeKalb Pike, E Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in the form of Mass cards or, contributions in her name can be made to the American Heart Association, One Penn Center, 1617 JFK Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
