Dorothy Kelly

Dorothy (Smith) Kelly, 83, resident of Parkhouse Providence Point, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Conshohocken, PA, she was the wife of Joseph Kelly, Sr. and daughter of the late Margaret (Speelhoffer) and Harry Smith. A resident of Parkhouse since April 2007, she had previously resided on Chain Street, Norristown. A graduate of the former Conshohocken HS, a manager for the former Bombay Shop in the Plymouth Meeting Mall, attended Maxwell Institute and was then employed by the former Univac Co, as a computer operator and later in their payroll department retiring in 1989. Mrs. Kelly was a devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, and was an avid reader. In addition to her husband of 63 years, she is survived by 5 children: Joseph (Diana) Kelly Jr., of Spring City, Glen Kelly, at home, Brian (Katherine) Kelly, of Upper Merion, Becky (Michael) Moran, of Collegeville, Meg (Richard) Rosato, of Coatesville; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and sister, Alberta Smith, of Conshohocken, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Brooke Cleaver, and siblings Catherine Ingles, Rose Zurawski, and Harry Smith . The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 11 am - 1:00 pm, at the Caramenico Funeral Home, Inc., Main & Walnut Sts., Norristown PA.
