Edward Griffith, Sr. Obituary

Edward Griffith, Sr., of West Conshohocken, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Chestnut Hill Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Frank and Catherine Griffith and the beloved husband of 58 years to the late Dorothy J. (Quintrell) Griffith.

Mr. Griffith worked for many years at The Budd Company and was well respected in his community. In his free time, he was an avid golfer who enjoyed giving lessons to friends and neighbors. A skilled outdoorsman, he also loved hunting and fishing whenever the opportunity arose. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether to family or friends, and dedicated his life to caring for those around him.

Above all, Mr. Griffith cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, uncle, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by many.

Along with his wife and parents he was proceed in death by a brother Frank Griffith, and a sister Lorraine Farrell.

He is survived by his sister Peggy Barainyak (Frank), sister-in-law’s Judith Griffith, Roseann Maggio, and Mary Jane Quintrell, brother-in-law’s Jim Farrell, Charlie Maggio, and Richard Quintrell,  his son Edward Griffith, Jr., and his wife Nancy of Phoenixville; two daughters, Christine Sherbert of Fort Washington, and Susan Boninu and her husband Mike of Parkesburg,  He was the proud grandfather of Edward III, Michael, Graceton, Christine DeGama, Tyler Famous, and Michael and Reid Boninu. Edward is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing for Mr. Griffith on Monday August 4, 2025 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Caramenico Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Norristown, PA 19401. Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Griffith’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
