Esther “Cookie” (Lasorda) Dalicandro

Esther “Cookie” (Lasorda) Dalicandro, 86, of Souderton passed away peacefully on Saturday July 4, 2026 at the Gwynedd Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family.  Born on October 20, 1939 in Norristown she was the daughter of the late Dominic & Esther C. Lasorda, and the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Dalicandro, Sr.

Cookie was born and raised in Norristown and was a dedicated parishioner of the Holy Saviour Church.  She would later go on to marry her beloved husband, Joseph P. Dalicandro and began their life together.  In her spare time Esther enjoyed music and performed with her band, Remember When. Esther also worked alongside her sister as a secretary, and office manager for Reaching At Problems, also known as RAP.  She concluded her working career at Walmart working as a cashier.  But most of all she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her and she will be missed by many.  

Esther leaves behind her two loving children, Joseph (Dawn) Dalicandro, Jr., and John (Tina) Dalicandro; her cherished grandchildren, Devon Nardone, Erin Dalicandro, and Dominic Dalicandro; and her beloved great-grandchildren Riley and Ray Hartzell. Esther is also survived by her niece, Donna (Kevin) Loughran; her nephew, Edward Cimino Jr.; and many extended family members and friends. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her loving sister, Donna Cimino.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Esther on Saturday July 18, 2026 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Rd. Hatfield, PA 19440.  Mass will follow the visitation at 11:00AM at the church.  Burial will take place in the St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Esther to the Firely Pediatric Services, 364 Maple Ave. Harleysville, PA 19438.
