George E. Pupek, 88, of Plymouth Meeting, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 18, 2024. Born on April 18, 1936 in Conshohocken he was the son of the late Walter & Dorothy (Schrack) Pupek, and the beloved husband of 62 years to the late Marie (Orsini) Pupek.
George graduated from St. Matthews High School in Conshohocken and attended night school at Villanova University where he graduated with a degree in engineering. He married his sweetheart and moved to Norristown where he raised his family. George was founder and co-owner of Energy Task Force, Inc. in Trenton, NJ, and then Interpipe Insulation, LLC in Pottstown PA until he retired in 2023. He was a devout Catholic and Eucharistic minister; he spent most days at Epiphany of our Lord Parish where he helped prepare mass. Dad was the ultimate caregiver for Mom and for anyone in need of help he was always there. George loved traveling to Port of the Islands, Florida, Avalon, NJ and Disney World with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in New Jersey.
George is survived by three sons; George (Fran), Steven (Joanne) and Jaime (Kathy); and seven grandchildren, Kevin, Alexandra, and Zachary Melnick, Max Pupek, Nicholas Pupek, Kyle and Kevin Fitzgerald.
In addition to his parents and wife, George was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie (the late Dr. Kevin) Melnick; and two brothers, Walter and Paul Pupek.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Saturday August 24, 2024 from 10:00AM – 11:15AM at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Rd, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Mass will follow at 11:30AM at the church. Entombment will take place in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Norriton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of George to the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Rd, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462, or the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
