Geraldine Oliver

Geraldine M. (Bartlett) Oliver passed peacefully away July 19 after a long illness with her family at her side. She was born Jan. 14, 1923 in Poughkeepsie NY. She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Oliver, former police chief of East Norriton Township, and by her parents Alfred and Mildred (Severino) Bartlett of Norristown. Gerry attended Norristown High School and was a member of St. Helen's Parish. She was a homemaker who raised 3 sons. She believed the most important thing in life was her family. Everyone who knew Gerry would attest to her love of life, pride in her family and spirited nature. She is survived by her three sons, James J. 'Skip' Oliver, Esq. and his wife Judy of East Norriton, John A. Oliver, and his wife May of St. Augustine, FL, and Dennis Oliver, and his wife Pat of West Norriton. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Justin J Oliver, Esq., Christine Wiegand, Esq., Tara Dutton, Tracey Watson, Kira, Ali and Shaya Oliver and six great grandchildren, Mason Oliver Wiegand, Cole and Max Dutton, Korinne, Connor and Kayla Watson. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 9 - 10:15 at St. Helena's Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Center Square, PA. Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Entombment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery Mausoleum, Dekalb Pike, E Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Main Line Health Heart Center, 558 Lankenau Medical Office Bldg. East, 100 E. Lancaster Ave., Wynnewood, PA 19096.
