Giacomo “Jake” Braccischi, 92, of Plymouth Meeting passed away on Saturday December 28, 2024 at his home. Born on August 18, 1932 in Norristown he was the son of the late Giacomo & Adelina (DeNardo) Braccischi.
Mr. Braccischi worked and dedicated many years to the Plymouth and Norristown community, and was the owner and operator of Plymouth Carpet Craft, Giacomo’s Restaurant, and also worked for Alan Wood Steel Co. Mr. Braccischi also served his country proudly as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge. He was also involved in many church groups and organizations such as the Mt. Carmel Sports Club, and also served as an usher for Mt. Carmel Church. In his spare time Mr. Braccischi was an avid golfer, and was a devoted member of the Spring Ford Country Club for many years. He also enjoyed watching and attending Philadelphia Phillies, and Eagles games whenever he had the opportunity. But most of all he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, great uncle, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.
Mr. Braccischi is survived by his loving nieces & nephews, Joseph Bruno, Thomas (MaryAnn) Bruno, John (Maria) Bruno, and Gina Braccischi. He is also survived by many great nieces & nephews, and extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Braccischi was preceded in death by his siblings, Frances “Dolly” Braccischi, Josephine (Thomas) Bruno, and Raymond (Betty Jane) Braccischi, Sr.; He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Raymond Braccischi, Jr.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Mr. Braccischi on Friday January 3, 2025 from 9:00AM-10:00AM at the Mt. Carmel Church, 454 Fairfield Rd. Plymouth Meeting PA. 19462. A funeral mass for Jake will follow the viewing at 10:00AM at the church. Burial will take place in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Norriton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Braccischi to the Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401.
