Harry J. Picone, 91, in Hilo, HI at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home on March 4, 2010. Born March 7, 1918 he was the husband of the late Antoinette (Ragano), who died March 30, 2001 and son of the late Menzo and Philomena (Venezia) Picone. A former Norristown area resident, he relocated to Hawaii in 2003 and settled in Waimea. Mr. Picone was a WW II Army veteran, owned Harry J. Picone's Grocery and Meat Store on Marshall and Dekalb Streets, Norristown; worked as a food broker in the restaurant industry, a member of Holy Saviour Church, Holy Saviour Senior Citizens, and was a lifelong Phillies fan. Survivors include his daughter Rita Picone Troia, of Waikoloa, HI; and two grandsons Jeffrey Alexander, of Vermont; and Gordon Alexander, of Waikoloa, HI. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Salvatore, Angeline, and Mary Fiorillo. Cremation took place in Hawaii with burial of his ashes in St. Patrick's Cemetery. A memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later time.
