James Joseph Hayes, Jr. of New York City passed away suddenly on Monday July 12, 2010 at the home of his sister Kathleen Eskie (Hayes) of Eagleville, PA. He was 75. Jim was born in Conshohocken, Pa on January 10, 1935 to Jean (Suvitsky) and James Joseph Hayes, Sr., both deceased. Jim graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Journalism and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Air Force upon graduation. He served as pilot and was later assigned to Air Force Intelligence. A talented writer, he spent his career as an Editor in NYC. His passion for games and puzzles was shared with his nieces, nephews and friends. His lively contributions to political discussions will be missed by both those who agreed and those who disagreed with his views. Jim is survived by his brother William of Conshohocken, PA, sister Kathleen of Eagleville, PA, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a great-great niece. Jim was buried at St. Matthews Cemetery in Conshohocken during a private ceremony. Funeral arrangements were with the Caramenico FH Inc., Ntn., PA.
