James Allen Bitting, Jr.

James Allen Bitting, Jr., 55, of Pottstown, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 19, 1971, in Philadelphia, he was the son of James Allen Bitting, Sr. and Helen (Bradshaw) Bitting, and the beloved husband of Bonnie (Howe) Bitting.

James was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures and in learning how things worked. Naturally curious, he loved taking on new hobbies, projects, and challenges, always eager to try something different or teach himself a new skill. Whether he was deep-sea fishing, playing video games, racing slot cars, or working with his hands, he embraced each interest with enthusiasm. He also enjoyed competing in a dart league for many years. Above all else, James treasured time spent with his family, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Even throughout his illness, he found comfort in being surrounded by the people he loved most, and their love and support carried him throughout his journey.

Mr. Bitting worked for many years for Stern Nester Paving in Pottstown until his retirement. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend whose kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family touched everyone who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Bonnie, James is survived by his children, Bobbi Jo Lemashov (Rei Lemashov),  Joseph Bitting, and Cole Bitting.
