Joanne Hughes

Joanne (Scimeca) Hughes, 67, of Schwenksville died on Monday, October 22, 2012, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Born August 1, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Josephine 'Mimi" (Simone) and Frank Scimeca. Joanne, known by many for her integrity, work ethic, and sarcastic sense of humor, fought like she lived. She was loved by many for always giving and caring for others. A grandmother of 3, mother of 2, and friend of many, she was employed as Office Manager for 29 years with Silas Bolef Co. of Norristown. Survivors include children: Kristyna (John) Eagle, and their son Robert, of Reading, PA; Mark (Barbara) Davidson, their children Jake and Julia, of Chester Springs, PA; Bowa; and her special family at Silas Bolef. The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 3 - 4:30 pm, at the Caramenico FH Inc., Main & Walnut Streets, Ntn, PA with memorial services to begin at 4:30 at the funeral home. On behalf of Joanne, the family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the staff at PMMC and Sanatoga Center, for taking care of Joanne with compassion, dignity, and professionalism. The family requests that flowers not be sent, but contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be greatly appreciated.
