Joanne (Gentile) Mascaro

Joanne P. (Gentile) Mascaro, 81, of Norristown passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 18, 2025 at the Einstein Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  Born on August 12, 1946 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Peter & Frances Gentile.

Joanne was dedicated to her profession and worked for over 25 years as a dietitian for the Norristown State Hospital until her retirement.  In her spare time Joanne enjoyed traveling to the beach with her family and friends whenever she had the opportunity.  Joanne was also an avid shopper at local stores in the area, and you could also find her going for her daily walks in her neighborhood.  But most of all she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a dear friend, to all who had the pleasure of knowing her and she will be missed by many.

Joanne is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda (Michael) Casey; One loving grandson, Daryn (Kita) Dixon; and her two beloved great grandchildren, Josephine  & Mason.  Joanne is also survived by her brother, Daniel Gentile; and former husband, Anthony Mascaro.

Funeral services for Joanne will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joanne‘s memory to the SPCA of Conshohocken.
