Joanne M. (Interrante) Schonely

Joanne M. (Interrante) Schonely, 86, of Norristown passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 8, 1939 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. Interrante & Sue (Melle) Interrante, and the beloved wife of the late James W. Schonely.

Joanne attended Holy Saviour Grade School, graduating from West Catholic High School in 1956. She worked as a cafeteria manager for Kennedy-Kenrick for 27 years before moving to the Norristown Area School District for 10 years. She loved to cook, bake and crochet.

Joanne is survived by her one son; Christopher Schonely (Lisa), of West Chester., three daughters; Lisa (The late John) Sgarlata, of Ft. Meyers FL., Susan (The Late Marc) Stapleton, of East Norriton, Melissa "Missy" (Jamie) Mancini, of Eagleville; and one brother, Joseph (Barbara) Interrante, of Sarasota.

She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; Joseph (Laura), Ryan (April), and the late Andrew “Andy” Tuturice, who passed in 2018; Stefanie (Louis) Perrone, Michael (Kyme) and Haleigh Stapleton; Hannah Lamont- Schonely; Lauren (Tyler) Greco; Erin (Chris) Trunk; Bridget and Kevin Magee; Adam (Heather),Josh (Megan) and the late Jennifer Sgarlata. 

Joanne was also blessed with great-grandchildren; Abby, Emma, Olivia, Andrew and Adrianna (Tuturice); Gianna (Perrone); Gia and Francesca Stapleton; and Casey and Teagan Greco.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday January 3, 2026 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401.
