John Harrison “Jack” Warg III

John Paul “Jack” Harrison Warg III passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Home, Lafayette Hill, PA where he was surrounded by his loving family and many friends. Born on March 1, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late John H. Warg & Blanche Veronica (Reed) Warg, and was a loving husband of 49 years to Patricia (Granese) Warg.

After graduating from Germantown High School, he served his country proudly from 1967 to1973 during the Vietnam war where he would receive many honors such as the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, and the Army Commendation Medal.

Jack was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and also served as CYO Athletic Director for the Holy Saviour School where he coached many sports. He later became the Athletic Equipment Director for Bishop Kenrick High School, and had a great love for umpiring whenever he had the opportunity. Jack would later work for Stroehmann Bread Company until his retirement in 1982 due to an illness. 

In addition to his beloved wife, Jack is survived by his loving sons, John Warg, of Plymouth Meeting, and Kevin (Michele) Warg, of Plymouth Meeting; He is also survived by his two beautiful grandchildren, Bryn and Grayson whom he cherished. Mr. Warg is also survived by his sister Harriett Sullivan, and his brother Raymond Warg; and sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Donald Tornetta. Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Eileen Mason.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for John on Tuesday July 8, 2025 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Caramenico Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401. A viewing will also be held on Wednesday July 9, 2025 from 8:30AM-9:30AM at funeral home. Mass will follow the viewing at 10:00AM at the Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401. Burial with military honors will take place in the Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association Mid-Atlantic, 625 N. Governor Printz Blvd #2, Essington, PA 19029, or the Disabled American Veterans, 5000 Wissahickon Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19144.
