Joseph P. Glisson Jr, 69, of Norristown passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013, peacefully at home. Born January 7, 1944 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Mabel (Ludwig) and the late Joseph P. Glisson. Survived by his wife Marie (Pasquarello) of 52 years. Joseph (Butch) was a master mechanic who worked at Gretz beverage in Norristown. He drove a modified race car for over thirty years at Grandview, Penn National and Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey. He was a devoted supporter at the Phoenixville Quarter Midget Club. He was the novice trainer and race director for over ten years. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold-em regularly. Survivors include three daughters; Diane (Chris) Smondrowski, of Coatesville, Connie (Charles) Termine, of Coatesville, and Mabel (Rich Shych) Frashetta, of Oaks. One son, Joseph P. Glisson III (Lyn) of Norristown. One sister, Ethel Quinley, of Valley Forge, eight grandchildren; Chris Jr, Tina, Stephanie, Kimberly, Charles Jr., Nick, Shelby, and Taylor. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren Reese, Renee, Andrew, Roman, and Mila. Also, Joan Strawhacker, Bobby Pasquarello, Ginger Angelucci, Jerry Pasquarello, and numerous nephews and neices. Friends and family are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, May 03, 2013 from 10-11 am, at the Caramenico Funeral Home Inc. Main & Walnut Sts. Ntn., Pennsylvania. No flowers please.
