Obit for: Joseph R. Laspina Joseph R. Laspina Sr. , 91, of West Norriton passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Rittenhouse Pine Nursing Center, Norristown, Pennsylvania. Born October 20, 1921 in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Antonio and Philomena (Paciello) Laspina, and husband of Jessie (Vanni) Laspina. Joseph was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, whose family meant everything to him, he also enjoyed fishing and gardening. In addition to his loving wife, Joseph is survived by his sons; Joseph (Sharon) Laspina, of Norristown, and Michael Laspina, of Lansdale, and by his daughters; Lucia (Charles) Simon, of Bethlehem, and RoseMary (Mario) Rivera, of Harleysville. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by one sister; Rose Romanelli, and one brother; Michael Laspina. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 9:30-11:00 am, at the Visitation BVM Lower Church, 196 N. Trooper Road, Trooper, Pennsylvania. Mass will be held at 11am in the Lower Church following the viewing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Visitation BVM Church, or Visitation BVM Convent, 196 N Trooper Rd Trooper, PA 19403.
