Joseph L. Tornetta

Joseph L. Tornetta of Sonoma, California passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Born on July 17, 1947 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Tornetta and Ann Suzanne (Vuotto) Tornetta.

Mr. Tornetta lived in Sonoma County for the past fifty years, where he worked as a Carpenter in the Bay Area. He later started his passion for wine making and went on to operate his own winery, Tornetta Winery. Most of all, he enjoyed travelling with his family whom he cherished above all. He often spoke with pride and affection about his family especially, his grandchildren. He was a dear and loyal friend to all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Mr. Tornetta is survived by his and his loving partner Nina Small; Two children, Christian Tornetta and Tara Gunderson; six grandchildren, Angelina Tornetta, Christina Tornetta, Maria Tornetta, Lela Gunderson, Hannah Gunderson, and Zackery Gunderson. He is also survived by one brother Donald J. (Carol) Tornetta; three sisters, Mary Ann (Joseph) Basile, Suzanne (John) Christen, and Janet (Francis) Cappelletti. Joseph is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Joseph on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 8:30AM - 11:00AM at the Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St. Norristown, PA, 19401. Mass will follow the viewing at 11:00AM at the church. Entombment will take place in the St. Patrick's Cemetery Mausoleum, East Norriton PA.
