Joseph R. DeMarco

Joseph DeMarco, Sr., 95, of Norristown passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 17, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 21, 1928 in Norristown he was the son of the late Ralph & Marie (Arena) DeMarco, and the beloved husband of the late Seda (Dimino) DeMarco.

In his spare time, Joseph loved watching Phillies and Eagles games, and vacationing in Cape May whenever he had the opportunity.  Mr DeMarco also worked for Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania for 39 years, and was a devoted parishioner of the Visitation BVM Church for many years.  But most of all he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.

Mr. DeMarco is survived by his three loving children, Ralph (Amelia) DeMarco, Anthony (Liana) DeMarco, and Vincent (Nicola) DeMarco; Daughter in law, Maria DeMarco; Seven grandchildren, Joseph, Amy, Karen, Amanda, Jack, Krista, and Jessica; Six great grandchildren, Michael, Owen, Cecelia “CC”, Charlotte, Dominic, and Joseph.  Mr DeMarco is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. DeMarco was preceded in death by his son, Joseph DeMarco, Jr.; and one sister, Rose Marie (Raymond) Thibault.

Family and friends are invited to attend the services for Mr. DeMarco on Monday December 23, 2024 at 11:00AM at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 2400 Dekalb Pk. Norristown, PA 19403. Family and friends may call from 10:30AM-11:00AM prior to the service.  Burial with military honors will follow the adjoining cemetery.
