Joseph “Jay” T. Couch, Sr., 65, of Norristown passed away peacefully on Friday March 28, 2025 at the Einstein Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 22, 1959 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Catherine (Rogers) and Paul Couch, and the beloved companion to Angela Luark.
Jay worked for many years for the Myers Drug Store as a stock clerk until his retirement. In his spare time Jay dedicated countless hours as a volunteer firefighter in his community. He also enjoyed watching his favorite television shows such as WWE, The Rifleman and The Three Stooges. But most of all he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family. He was a loving companion, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.
In addition to his companion, Jay is survived by his beloved children, Joseph Thomas Couch, Jr. (Amanda), Tommy Couch, and Kyle Couch; stepchildren, Gail Stoudt, Richard Stoudt, Jolene Frederick, Amber Couch, and R.J. Couch. He is also survived by his three beloved grandchildren, Joseph Thomas Couch, III, Kaitlyn Couch, and Danielle Couch; loving step grandchildren, Wednesday, Veil, Lazarus, Vermelia, Sullivan, and Ailani; brothers Steve Rogers and Richard Couch; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy Rogers, Paul Couch and Louis Couch .
Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service for Jay on Thursday April 10, 2025 beginning at 12:00PM in the St. Augustine Cemetery, DeKalb Pk. King of Prussia, PA 19406.
