Josephine Puia

Josephine M. (Venezia) Puia, 83, of Norristown, PA, on Thursday, July 1 surrounded by her loving family at the Regina Nursing Center on Fornance St., Norristown. Born in Norristown on November 1, 1926, she was the wife of Frank P. Puia, Sr. and daughter of the late Frank and Carmella (Giancchino) Venezia. Mrs. Puia was a special lady, a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She belonged to Holy Saviour Church, their senior group, and the MSS Ladies auxiliary. In addition, she worked for over thirteen years as a seamstress for the Samson, Polay and Goodman of Phila., PA. Survivors in addition to her husband are children: Frank (Kerry) Puia, of Paoli, Maryjane (Luigi) Palatano, of Plymouth Meeting, Karen (Pasquale) Carbone, of North Wales, grandchildren: Joseph, Stephanie and Alexa Palatano, David and Ryan Carbone, Madison and Austin Puia; and sister, Catherine DeBenny, of Norristown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Michael Venezia, Andrew Venezia, Joseph Venezia, Mary Grisafi, Anne Crescenzi, and Rose Amore. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 06, from 8:30 - 9:45 am at the Caramenico FH Inc. Main & Walnut Sts., Ntn., PA. Funeral Mass in Holy Saviour Church, 407 E Main St. at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Patrick's Cem, E. Norriton, PA.
