Lena (Amodeo) Catanzaro

Lena (Amodeo) Catanzaro, 98, of Norristown passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Gwynedd Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family.  Born September 10, 1925 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Melchiore & Anna Amodeo, and the loving wife of the late Harry Catanzaro.  

Lena was a dedicated parishioner of the Holy Saviour Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to all and she will be missed by many.  Lena is survived by her two daughters, Charlotte Shay, and Maria (Michael) Mandrachia; two grandchildren, Paul Shay, and Daria (Greg) Finney; and three great-grandchildren, Alessia Finney, Amaria Finney, and Amaya Finney.  

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Angie Palumbo, Mary Amodeo; and four brothers, Joe Amodeo, Harry Amodeo, Charles Amodeo, and John Amodeo.

Funeral services for Lena will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Burial will also be private in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Norriton, Pennsylvania 19401.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Holy Saviour Church 407 E.
