Lillian Bono

Lillian (Genuardi) Bono, 80, of Norristown, PA on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 at Montgomery Hospital, peacefully with her family by her side. Born August 29, 1929 in Norristown, she was the wife of Augustus Bono and daughter of the late Vincent and Antoinette (Venezia) Genuardi. A lifelong resident of Norristown, Lil was a longtime member of the Catholic War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary. As a parishioner of Holy Saviour Church, spent many happy years singing with the choir. An avid bingo player, there are not many bingo halls that she has not spent and won money at. Working retail, she loved the daily contact with her many regular customers. Married for 54 wonderful years to her loving husband Augustus (Gus) she is survived by three daughters: Charlotte (Benjamin) Grisafi of Norristown, Maria (John) Kardick of Parker Ford, Annette (Gary) Cave of Bechtelsville, 7 grandchildren: Louis, Patrick, Matthew Sessa; Shannon, Kari, Mikeala Kardick; and Maggie Rose Cave; siblings: Vincent 'Jimmy' Genuardi of Jeffersonville, Polly Galante of Mechanicsville, MD, and Frances Schwenk of Trooper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Charles Genuardi, Mary Royer and Rose Fox. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 8:30 am - 9:45 am at the Caramenico FH Inc., Main & Walnut Sts., Ntn., PA. Funeral Mass to follow at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E Main St., Norristown, PA at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Patrick's Cem, Dekalb Pike, E. Norriton, PA.
