Louise Venezia

Louise Anna (Bartolommeo) Venezia, 81, wife of Joseph C. Venezia, East Norriton, passed away early Wednesday, March 8, 2011 at the Vitas Hospice Unit at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, after a prolonged illness. She was born on August 12, 1929, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, the first of three daughters of the late Giulia and Filippo Bartolomeo. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Santangelo. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, her daughter Mary Louise Morrisey (husband, Philip), her son Joseph V. Venezia (partner, Nancy Marsden), sister Jenny Avarese, and grandchildren Bryan and Danielle Morrisey. Louise graduated from Norristown High School in 1948 and was an active member of the reunion committee. She was also a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. She was dedicated to her faith, and her commitment to the church is noteworthy. Louise was a long-time member of the Women's Guild, and for many years, she taught children with special needs in the church's catechism program. Prior to retirement, Louise worked for Extracorporeal, a medical supplies company, and Johnson and Johnson. To her friends and family, Louise was a stalwart spirit, full of vitality. We honor her through a celebration of her life. She brought strength to her family and has accomplished so much in her long life. She has loved and been loved greatly in return. She gave all of herself to others and could always maintain her strong will of heart. What more could matter in this life? May God bless Louise, and take her soul into His everlasting light. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011, from 8:30 9:30 AM at the Caramenico FH Inc., Main and Walnut Sts., Ntn., PA, with funeral Mass to follow at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 2007 New Hope St., Ntn., PA at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cem., E. Norriton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
