Maria Messina

Maria (Pulatta) Messina, 83, of East Norriton, PA on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Nazareth Hospital Hospice Unit, Philadelphia, PA. She was the wife of the late Giaquindo 'Jake' Messina and daughter of the late Bettina Pulatta. Born March 15, 1926 in Colsana, Sicily, Italy, she was a teacher in Italy and a member of Holy Saviour Church. She is survived by and resided with her son Gene Messina and sister in law Accursia Carlino at their home in East Norriton; and granddaughter Shelley Messina. The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown from 10 - 10:50 AM, with Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Dekalb Pike, E. Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Mass cards or donations to a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are with the Caramenico FH Inc., Main & Walnut Sts., Ntn., PA.
