Mary Early

Mary (Marie) Teresa V. Early, 83, of Norristown, passed on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Mercy Suburban Hospital. Born September 17, 1928 in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Edward T. Butler, and wife of the late Joseph Matthew Early. Marie started working right after 10th Grade as a food server for Sacred Heart Hospital, She then became a Switch Board Operator for Bell Telephone several years, finishing with a transferred to Walker Brothers in Conshohocken until she married and left work to raise a family in 1954, She later then worked for AAMCO Transmission as a customer service representative from 1975-1980. Marie was a loving and caring person to everyone she engaged with, a loving mother, homemaker, and a housewife. Marie enjoyed her summers in New Jersey with her family, playing cards and having great laughs. Marie's fall/winter time in Norristown consisted of shopping at QVC Outlet, weekly Hair /Nail Saloon appointments and weekly BINGO. One of her greatest love was spending every moment possible with her Grand-Daughter. Marie is survived by three sons; Patrick J. (Deborah Hansel) Early, Tom Early, Edward Sean Early; She is survived by a daughter; Mary Ellen (David) Early-DiGregorio and Grand-daughter; Brianne Marie Early-DiGregorio. She also leaves behind her Brother Thomas (Mary Jane Allen) Butler, nephew; Thomas (Michele) Butler, and great-nephew; Thomas (Tucker) Butler, all of Norristown. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11:00am, at the St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1100 W. Marshall Street, Norristown, PA. Family and Friends will be received from 10-10:45am at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 225 City Line Avenue, Suite #104, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
