Mildred L. Pigeon

Mildred L. Pigeon, 84, of Norristown passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Einstein Hospital Montgomery, Norristown, Pennsylvania. Born June 15, 1928 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie (Rubery) Laverty. Millie was a long time employee of Genuardi's Supermarkets, and in her spare time she loved spending time with her family, and cared for them unconditionally. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a dear friend to everyone and she will be deeply missed. Surviving is her son, Jack Pigeon and wife, Anna of East Norriton, one daughter, Susan Cesare and her husband Michael, of Norristown and son, Timothy and his wife Deborah, of Schwenksville. One sister, Nancy McCone. Eight grandchildren, Michael and Robert Cesare, Jonathan and Justin Pigeon, Alexandra Polk, Taylor Zeitz, Colin & Kristin Pigeon. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Logan & Eileen. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Alice Mae Mullen, and Edith Reese. And one brother,; Raymond Laverty. Family and friends will be received on Sunday May 19, 2013 from 12-2:00 pm at the Caramenico Funeral Home Inc. Main & Walnut St. Norristown PA 19401. A memorial service for Mildred will be held at 1:30 PM. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to American Lung Association 527 Plymouth Road, Suite 403 Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462
