Minnie Santangelo

Minnie Santangelo, 84, of Norristown on Monday, November 8, 2010, at the Hospital of the Univ. of PA. Born December 10, 1925 in Norristown, PA she was the daughter of the late Josephine (Genuardi) and Matteo Santangelo. Ms. Santangelo was employed as a seamstress for a number of companies including the former Ntn. Rug Co, Tyson Shirts, and Gordon's of Phila. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Sodality, Holy Saviours' Padre Pio Group, and the Holy Saviour Sr. Citizens. Survivors include her sisters Fay 'Fannie' Santangelo of Norristown, PA, and Mary (Augustus) Tornetta of Plymouth Meeting, PA, and many nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and his wife Anthony and Rita (Salvatore) Santangelo. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 9 - 10 am at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E Main Street, Ntn., PA with funeral mass to follow at 10 am. Interment St. Patrick's Cem, DeKalb Pike, E. Ntn., PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Padre Pio Group of Holy Saviour Church; Holy Saviour Church, 407 E Main St., Norristown, PA 19401, or mass cards.
