Pauline Galante

Pauline "Polly" Galante, 94, of Mechanicsville, MD died February 24, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born October 29, 1916, she was the daughter of Vincenzo Genuardi and Antonia Venezia Genuardi. She was a seamstress who worked for a bridal shop. Pauline enjoyed quilting, Bunco and going to the casinos. Her special love was being with her family. Pauline was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and belonged to the Tia Maria quilt group and the 5th District Homemakers. Besides her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Ignatius V. Galante;; sisters, Mary Royer, Rose Fox and Lillian Bono. She is survived by her daughter, Roseann Bricker of Mechanicsville, MD; brother, Vincent Genuardi; sister, Frances Schwenk; 3 grandsons, Ignatius (Susan), James P. (Shannan) and Steven (Holly) and 4 great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jasmine, James W. and Dominic. The family will receive friends for Polly's Life Celebration on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 2 4 and 6 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. where prayers will be said at 7:00p.m. with Father Thomas Gude officiating. SThe family will also receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 4, 2011, from 8:30 - 9:15 AM at the Caramenico FH Inc. Main & Walnut Sts., Ntn., PA, with Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Holy Saviour Catholic Church, Norristown, PA at 9:30a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Church Cemetery, East Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 15, Mechanicsville, MD 20659.
