Robert D. Stacey

Robert D. Stacey, 60, of Pottstown, PA and formerly of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday September 29, 2025 at Pottstown Hospital, with his loving wife by his side. Robert was born on August 23,1965 in Arlington Va. He was the beloved husband of Christine (Red) Stacey and father of Elizabeth Stacey.

After graduation of Wakefield High School in Arlington Va, Robert joined the Army. After training at Fort Benning, GA he went to Germany and was stationed in Berlin. While there he guarded Rudolph Hess in Spandau Prison. After returning to the states when his tour was over he worked several jobs and then started working for DODEA (Department of Defense Education Activity) as an HR specialist. As his career continued, he worked for other agencies such as HHS, DHS and VA. He retired from the Federal Government in 2018 with a disability retirement. Robert was very active in the churches he belonged to and the communities in which he lived. While in Hagerstown MD, he was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Hagerstown. While there he was involved in activities such as being a Deacon, Global Outreach, VBS and regionally volunteered at Camp Mary Mac and Bethany Beach Retreat Center.

Robert also dedicated many years of Volunteering for Boy Scouts of America as Pack 103 Den and Pack Leader and Troop 103 Leader. He taught both BB Gun and Bow and Arrow for many outdoor activities. In his spare time Robert enjoyed fishing, home projects and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, son in law, brother and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be missed by many.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday November 15, 2025 at 12:00PM at the First Christian Church of Hagerstown Maryland, 1345 Potomac Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21742.
