Rosalie A. (DiRenzo) Volpe, 91, of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Monday August 14, 2023 at the Markley Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 4, 1931 in Norristown she was the daughter of the late Flordindo & Mary (Ciccarone) DiRenzo, and the loving wife of the late Dante F. Volpe.
Mrs. Volpe was a graduate of Norristown High School class of 1949. Before moving to Plymouth Meeting, Rosalie was born and raised in Norristown, during her time she worked for many years for Ziegler’s Stationery Store, and would later go on to work for her family business, Volpe Trucking. She was also an avid traveler, she and her husband would spend their winters in Palm Beach Shores Florida, traveling to Stone Harbor New Jersey in the summer, and when they weren’t traveling they loved spending time at their home in Plymouth Meeting. Rosalie also enjoyed entertaining and cooking whenever she had the opportunity. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her loving family, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to all who all who had the pleasure of knowing her and she will be missed by many.
Rosalie is survived by her loving son, Dante F. (Maribeth) Volpe, Sr.; Two grandchildren, Laura (Erik) Ingersoll, and Dante F. (Kelly) Volpe, Jr.; Seven great grandchildren, Finn, Cate, Rosie, & Beatrice Volpe, and Dylan, Isabel, & Summer Ingersoll; She is also survived by her in-laws, Carlo I. (Gail) Volpe, Erminia (Dr. Harry) Venezia, Rachael (Durell) Leister; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rosalie was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Karen M. Volpe; One brother, Nicholas (Lena) DiRenzo; In-laws, Beatrice (Patrick) Mackin, Allegra (John) Giustozzi, and Virgilio Volpe.
Viewing and funeral services for Rosalie will be held privately at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
