Rose Ann (Volpe) Nicola, 89, of Norristown passed away peacefully on Thursday August 22, 2024 at Abington Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 18, 1934 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Delina (Caramenico) Volpe, and the loving wife of the late Angelo “Tank” Nicola.
Rose Ann was born and resided in Norristown for many years, during her time she worked for Ford Aerospace for 42 years as a machine attendant until her retirement. Rose Ann was also involved in community groups such as the Holy Saviour Senior Citizens Club, as well as the local bowling league. In her spare time she was an avid traveler and would take cruises and trips to the casino with family and friends whenever she had the opportunity. Rose Ann was also an excellent cook and, baker; she also enjoyed watching the occasional horror movie and shark films. But most of all she cherished the time that she was able to spend with her loving family. She was a dedicated mother, loving grandmother, great grandmother, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her and she will be missed by many.
Rose Ann is survived by her daughter Rosemary (Dan) McAnany; Four grandchildren, Nicole Marie (Colin) Shive, Heather (James) Powell, Fallon (Rick) Every, and Sean (Emily) McAnany; Nine great grandchildren, Reilly, Angelo, Amelia, and Carl Shive; Aryia, and Ryan Powell; Gianna, and Cecelia Every, and Desmond McAnany. She is also survived by her two siblings, Elaine McCloskey, and Ronald Volpe and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces & great nephews.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her five siblings, Salvatore Volpe, Daniel Volpe, Robert Volpe, Joeseph Volpe, and Philomena (Minnie) Falcone.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Rose Ann on Thursday August 29, 2024 from 10:00AM – 12:00PM at the Caramenico Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 403 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401. A funeral service will follow the calling time at 12:00PM. Burial will take place in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Norriton PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in memory of Rose Ann to the Asplundh Cancer Pavilion, 3941 Commerce Ave. Willow Grove, PA 19090.
