Salvatore H Cotteta

Salvatore H. Cotteta , 79, of Audubon on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA. Born July 8, 1932 in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Catherine (Bondi) and the late Joseph Cotteta , and husband of Barbara (Dempsey) Cotteta, and they would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this coming July. Mr. Cotteta was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church; the Soderton/Harleysville Rod and Gun Club; was a Korean War veteran where he taught PT to the soldiers and was a life guard. He enjoyed vacationing with family and friends; hunting, fishing, and swimming. When he was 17, he was into body building, and won the Mr. Jr. Middle Atlantic competition of the Strength and Health Magazine, which he was extremely proud of. Survivors include 3 children: Barbara Ann (David, Sr.) Coccio, of Worcester; Kathleen (Dennis) Wolfgang, of Spring City; Joseph (Sandy) Cotteta, of Plymouth Meeting; 6 grandchildren: AJ Cotteta; Christine and David Coccio, Jr.; Lauren, Brooke, and Kelsey Wolfgang; and 1 great-grandson James Lee Mascaro; and sister Charlotte Dignan, of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Jesullo and granddaughter, Denise Cotteta. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wed. June 6, 2012 9:00 am - 10:45 am, at St Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 So. Trooper Rd., Ntn. PA. with Funeral Mass to follow at 11 AM. Entombment St. Patrick's Cem. Mausoleum, E Norriton, PA.
