Scott Anthony Focht, 45, of Belmont Hills, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Lankenau Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born on November 9, 1978, in Roxborough, he was the son of John & the late Kathryn Jean (Latch) Focht.
Scott was born and raised in Belmont Hills where he was very involved in his community and was always there to lend a helping hand. Scott was a dedicated member and volunteer of the Belmont Hills Fire Company for many years and also enjoyed playing in local dart leagues whenever he had the opportunity. In his spare time, he loved spending time on the water, fishing, crabbing, and clamming. When Scott wasn’t on the water you could find him working on his beloved 1967 Super Sport Chevy Nova. Scott was a natural comedian and always the life of the party. He had a generous and selfless personality up until his final days; he was even able to be a part of the Gift of Life Donor Program to save the lives of those around him.
But most of all, Scott cherished the time he was able to spend with his family. He was a loving son, brother, Uncle, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and he will be missed by many.
In addition to his father, Scott is survived by his four brothers, Keith (Angelina) Focht, Kevin (Melissa) Focht, Jon Bryan (Robin) Focht, and Steven Gordon; Scott is also survived by his ten loving nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
A celebration of life for Scott will be held at a later date to be announced at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toThe Yard Foundation, 1401 S.
