Sharon L. (Jeszkonis) Catagnus

Sharon L. (Jeszkonis) Catagnus, 79 of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 4, 2025 at the Einstein Medical Center Montgomery surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 18, 1946 in Shenandoah Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Michael Jeszkonis, Sr.  (Coal Miner and WWII Vet) & Leona (Karas) Jeszkonis, and the beloved wife of the late Anthony James Catagnus, Jr. 

Sharon was devoted to her faith and dedicated her life to the Lord, she loved the Lord and prayed often. Her favorite verse was "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5- 6 (KJV).  In her spare time she enjoyed hosting family and friends at her home for coffee, she was also an avid listener of Elvis Presley and Dean Martin.  Sharon also enjoyed vacationing and would take many trips to Florida in earlier years whenever she had the opportunity. But most of all she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her and she will be missed by many.

Sharon is survived by her beloved children, Anthony James Catagnus, III, and Sharon Victoria Catagnus; And eight loving grandchildren, Alyssa Rosaria Catagnus, Vanessa Jenise Catagnus, Anthony James Catagnus, IV, Salvatore Lorenzo Catagnus, Sebastian Romero Catagnus, Gloria Romero Catagnus, Violet Romero Catagnus, and Daisy Romero Catagnus; Sharon is also survived by her nephew, Joseph Sambrick.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Sue Jeszkonis, and brother Michael Jeszkonis.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Sharon on Thursday November 13, 2025 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church, 601 Buttonwood St. Norristown, PA 19401.  Mass will follow the viewing at 11:00AM at the church.  Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 75 Cemetery Rd.
