Thomas Joseph Lebish, 77, of West Norriton passed away peacefully on Saturday May 10, 2025 at the Jefferson Einstein Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 16, 1947 in Northampton Pennsylvania, he was the beloved husband of Beatrice (Muscanero) Lebish, having celebrated 49 years of marriage on May 8th. He was the son of the late Theresa (Gross) Lebish & Joseph Lebish.
Thomas was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School in Northampton. Upon graduating he would go on to attend East Stroudsburg University and graduate with his Bachelor’s Degree. During his earlier years, Mr. Lebish worked at Hess Department Store in Allentown, and would later go on to teach at Easton School District in the 1970’s. Mr. Lebish would further his career after moving to the Norristown area as social worker for the Department Of Public Welfare, until his retirement. In his spare time, Mr. Lebish loved spending time outdoors, he enjoyed riding his bike whenever he had the opportunity, and was also a very talented artist and painter who promoted the teaching of the arts in the community by working through the Greater Norristown Art League for many years. But most of all, Mr. Lebish cherished the time he was able to spend with his family, he was a devoted husband, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.
In addition to his beloved wife, Mr. Lebish is survived by his sister, Cindy (Greg) Bruce; Sisters-In-Law, Phyllis Muscanero, and Camille “Kim” Muscanero. Mr. Lebish is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lebish was preceded in death by his sisters, Rita Derkits Sayer, and Joyce Sakasitz; and brothers-in-law, John Derkits, and Frank Sakasitz.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Mr. Lebish on Friday May 16, 2025 from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401. Mass will follow the viewing at 11:00AM at the church. Burial will take place in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Norriton.
