Vincent J Genuardi

Vincent B. "Jimmy" Genuardi , 87, of Norristown passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at his residence. Born May 11, 1925 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Antoinette (Venezia) Genuardi. Mr. Genuardi was an Army veteran serving peacetime in France and Germany. He was a master welder and had worked for Container Corp of America and Welding Engineers; and was proud of his involvement with the Hello Columbus Monument committee in Elmwood Park, Norristown In his spare time he loved to cook, and spent many summers down the shore, where he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed crabbing as well. He also enjoyed spoiling his family's seven dogs. Survivors include one sister; Frances R. Schwenk, and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Genuardi and four sisters, Pauline Galante, Mary Royer, Rose Fox, and Lillian Bono. Friends and Family will be received on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 9- 9:45 am, at the Caramenico Funeral Home, Main & Walnut Sts. Norristown, Pennsylvania. Mass will be held at the Holy Saviour Church, 407 E Main St. Norristown, Pennsylvania. at 10 am following the viewing. Entombment in the St. Patrick's Mausoleum, 2400 DeKalb Pk, E. Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Veterans Association of America, Inc., P.O. Box 309 Audubon Station, New York, New York 10032.
