Virginia Gonzalez

Virginia Gonzalez, 75, of Newark NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday August 16, 2025 at the Einstein Medical Center Montgomery surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 20, 1950 in Aguada Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Carmelo & Maria Bonet Gonzalez, and the loving companion of Nelson Hernandez, Sr.

Virginia was an avid collector of any and everything Betty Boop, she also enjoyed listening to music and dancing in her spare time which brought her joy; but most of all she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her and she will be missed by many.

Virginia is survived by her children, Evelyn Hernandez (Omar Berenguel), Carlos Hernandez (Chanise Pryor), Nelson Hernandez (Alicia Velez), Jaime Hernandez, Virginia Gonzalez, and Carmen Feliciano. She is also survived by her beloved grandson, Alvin; and her siblings, Iris, Gladys, and Yolanda. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby, and Raul.

A celebration of life will take place for Virginia on Thursday August 28, 2025, from 1:00PM - 3:00PM at the Caramenico Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 403 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401.
