William S Mackrides

William S Mackrides, 67, of Souderton on Thursday, August 18, 2010 at the University of PA Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Born in Philadelphia March 9, 1943 he was the husband of Rae (Sole) and son of the late Mildred (Zungolo) and William Mackrides. Originally from So. Phila, he resided in the Mayfair section before moving to Souderton 14 years ago. He was an electronic technician and was the retired owner of the Mitchell Bros. Electronics of Horsham until his retirement in 2006. The company, purchased in 1980, is now being run by his son William. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons William (Cathy) Mackrides, of Chalfont; Christopher (Toni), of Horsham, 5 grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Esther (Annessi) Sole, of Souderton, and many cousins with whom he grew up with. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 26, 2010, 9 - 10 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield PA 19440. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cem., Cheltenham., PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Abramson Cancer Ctr., Penn Medicine Development, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Phila., PA 19104.
